	Rita Maas
			Born in New York, Rita grew up with five siblings on the south shore of Long Island. Her family owned and operated a bustling seafood restaurant where she was at home among the crowds. Maas earned her BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York after studying painting at Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. After graduating it was natural for her to pursue a career in still life and food photography. Maas has worked with top Creative Directors for over 20 years. Her work has been featured in magazines and advertising campaigns such as Gourmet, Anthropologie and Whole Foods Market. While continuing her commercial work, Maas� passion for photography has inspired her to pursue an individual and personal vision; creating a body of artwork that has been selected for numerous international exhibitions and cited for several of awards. She continues to explore and expand new directions; expressing an ever evolving collection of concepts which she pursues with a keen eye and skilled artistry. Maas currently lives Westchester County, NY with her husband and son. Her work is included in several international corporate and private collections as well as the permanent collections of The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas and Lishui Museum of Photography, Lishui, China.
